Reading Methodology
1. Read the question
Don’t think yet. Just identify:
- topic (opinion, cause, originality, request)
- what type of answer you’re looking for
2. Read the text once
While reading, silently tag:
- main idea (first sentence or first paragraph)
- one or two keywords related to the question
3. Read the options
- Pick the option that matches your mental summary.
- Don’t pick based on “which one I understand best.”
4. Choose and move on
- Re-read only if two options clearly fit or your choice is contradicted.
- No second read “just in case.”
Practice rule
- One text read only.
- Answer immediately.
- Star questions you wanted to reread.
- Review after the test, not during.
